About Me
Ann Byrne
Qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist
I am a qualified Counsellor & Psychotherapist. I am a Pre-Accredited member of the IACP (Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy). I have a BSc (Hons) Degree in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy. I am certified in Reality Therapy, Integrative Couple Counselling with ASIST Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training. Alongside my professional training, I have a background in financial, legal and disabilities sector in addition to over 21 years' experience as a foster parent, which has given me a strong understanding of life's challenges and the importance of feeling heard and supported. I aim to provide a safe, empathetic space where clients can explore their experiences and move forward at their own pace.
My Approach
I offer a therapeutic approach which is grounded in person-centred and humanistic elements, integrating various modalities. I have worked with clients engulfed in grief, experiencing low mood/depression, a sense of loss and disconnection, anxiety, stress, and trauma. I believe in supporting individuals in making meaningful and authentic choices. Whether you need mental health maintenance or a deeper exploration, we can work together at your pace towards your goals. At Branch Therapy, you will encounter a safe, non-judgmental, caring, and compassionate space to unpack, unfold, and move towards understanding, clarity, growth, and healing.
